The Japanese are masters of miniature hobbies such as Bonsai, an art form using miniature trees grown in containers.
Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures which are usually very cute.
The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words “ami” which means crocheted or knitted, and the word for stuffed doll: “nuigurumi”.
