Make This Gorgeous Crochet African Flower Bag Made From Hexagons
I just love the fresh and vibrant colors in this crochet African flower bag.
Designed by Gunilla Karlsson, this gorgeous crocheted bag has been made from a chunky cotton.
The bag has been made from 12 different hexagons. Each of the colorful African flower hexagons measures approx. 4.5 inches across. In metric, that is approx. 12 cm.
When making this beautiful crochet African flower bag, you should start by choosing a base color for the bag. Then you will need to choose three or four different colors for the flowers.
To make the crocheted bag really pop, you should try to pick one color for the flowers that is more dominant than the others. You can make the flower hexagons in many different variations.
The bag in the picture only have three different types of flowers. This will give you four flower hexagons of each variations. These are then sewn together. If you prefer, you could also crochet them together.
Once joined. the rest of the crochet African flower bag is made. It is made by crocheting in rounds. Once the base is completed, the top part of the bag is crocheted.
To finish off the bag, you will also need to crochet a handle. You can also line the bag if you prefer.
