Make These Colorful And Practical Crochet Square Log Cabin Dishcloths
I just love these colorful crochet square log cabin dishcloths. They have been designed by Neatly Tangled. The colors and the way the sides have been crocheted around the center piece, sets these lovely dishcloths apart.
These colorful crochet dishcloths for the kitchen are a great scrap yarn project. Use up any worsted weight cotton scraps you have laying around. To achieve the same great effect as the crochet dishcloths in the picture, you will need five different colors.
You will only need about 1.5 ounces of worsted weight cotton scraps in the five different colors to crochet one of these log cabin dishcloths. That is just over 40 gram.
You will need a US size H hook. That is equivalent to a 5.0 mm crochet hook.
A completed crochet log cabin dishcloth will measure approx. 6.75 inches square. In metric, that is approx. 17 cm square.
The finished crocheted dishcloths will end up with a mesh-like fabric. This makes the dishcloths you have crocheted, great for scrubbing dirty dishes. However, the stitch also makes them light and flexible as well.
So, break out the cotton yarn scraps and make yourself one or more of these lovely dishcloths!
