Crochet This Adorably Fierce Yet Friendly Dragon
This cute crochet dragon will be popular with any child. It has been designed by Lucy Ravenscar. The completed crochet dragon measures approx. 11 inches (or 28 cm) from the nose to the tip of the tail. The wingspan is approx. 8 inches (or 20 cm).
To make the dragon you are going to need:
- Approx 35g double weight yarn, of whichever color or colors you wish to use for your dragon
- Small amount of cream/beige yarn to sew claws
- Stuffing
- 1 pair 7.5 mm safety eyes or beads of a similar size for eyes (or you can embroider the eyes, so a small amount of yarn to do that)
- Tapestry needle
- 3.5mm hook (US E hook)
The dragon is made mainly in rounds. However, the wings are made in rows. You will need to stuff the body as you go along. If you are new to amigurumi, we suggest you follow the video tutorials.

The instructional videos have been put together by Melodora’s Creations. There are in total 4 video tutorials. She is moving through the pattern quite rapidly, so we suggest you pause the videos while you work along.
You should look out for little Lucy’s reaction when she finally receives the completed dragon!
