Make This Beautiful Retro Crochet Spiral Granny Square
The granny square never seems to go out of fashion. This crochet spiral granny square is a rather unusual take on the granny square.
The pattern and video tutorial is easy to follow. You can vary the size of the square, just make sure you follow the maths.
The pattern and tutorial is done in four different colors. However, you can crochet it in just two colors.
If you do, you simply use two strands in one color, and two strands in another color.
You can easily create other interesting effects by placing the colors in a different order. The crochet spiral granny squares will be perfect as coasters.
The squares are made using DK / light worsted weight yarn. You will need a 3.5 mm hook (US E/4).

The way this granny square is crocheted is a bit unusual, so you may want to work along with video tutorial.

Hi There
Many thanks for your comment!
Is there any way that this pattern can be adapted to make an Afghan?
Hi Laurie
You can make the squares, and sew them together to make a design. Measure your first square, and mathematically plan the size you would like your afghan.
Hope this helps
