This stitch is used to decrease 3 stitches into 1 stitch, and is performed by working each stitch up to its second to last step, and then pulling through all remaining loops.

”In learning how to triple crochet you first need to yarn over your hook twice before placing the first stitch into the foundation chain. After you yarn over twice, place the hook into the 5th chain from your hook. Yarn over the hook again and pull up a loop through the chain. After you pull up a loop you will now have 4 loops on your hook. Yarn over the hook again and draw the yarn through the first 2 loops on the hook. Repeat this two more times.”
