The pattern comes with both UK and US terms. You can vary the size of the bag by the number of rounds you make.
The depicted bag was done in 10 rounds. However, you could make a smaller bag by just reduce the number of rounds. You could for instance just use just 7 rounds instead.
Following the pattern as is, you should end up with a bag that is about 12 inches across.
In metric measurements, that is approx. 30.5 cm across. In total you will need five squares for this crochet retro granny bag.
One granny square will be used for the base and one each will be used for each side.
The pattern also comes with instructions on how to make and attach a lining for the bag.
