Learn How Lefties Change Crochet Color
Take the next step and learn how Lefties Change Crochet Color.
By now, you should be familiar with how to crochet a single crochet stitch and have your dish cloth started! If not, please see our previous article on how to crochet a single stitch.
In this tutorial, you will learn the correct way to change color when crocheting with your left hand. This technique that is used for changing color when making a single crochet stitch, is also used for all other crochet stitches.
Using this technique when changing color, you will never have to tie off or place a slip knot anywhere in your crochet project. The only thing you need to remember is that you never finish off your last crochet stitch. This means you always leave two loops on your hook.
Simply thread your new color through the two loops of your last stitch and then tighten the new color into place. Chaining over the new color helps lock it into place so all you have to do is stitch over the new color.
It might sound complicated, but changing yarn color is much easier than you realize. Just watch the tutorial and see how it’s done!
In our next article, you will learn how to finish a crochet project.
