Learn the Moroccan Tile Stitch Crochet technique. This is an amazing stitch used in Tunisian Crochet which is ideal for crafting cushions and afghans. It is made in a multiple of 3 +2, +2 for the starting chain and for any project you would like to create your own size, just ensure you always end on an odd row.
Occasionally Tunisian Crochet is also named Afghan Crochet and as such, the hooks are also sometimes named Afghan hooks.

You use a Tunisian/Afghan crochet hook, which are usually longer than the regular hooks and have a stopper on the end. But the difference is that the hook holds multiple loops in the same way that knitting pins do.
