Learn the difference Between 4 Crochet Stitches: Bobble, Puff, Popcorn and Cluster, which all appear at first glance, to be a similar stitch.
You are basically working multiple stitches or parts of stitches into the same stitch. These stitches stand out from the fabric in a rounded shape, and give greater texture to your project.
From top left to bottom right, you are looking at the puff stitch, bobble stitch, cluster stitch and finally popcorn stitch.
- Starting with the Bobble Stitch, see the videos provided.
- The Puff Stitch is nearly the same as the Bobble Stitch, but with a chain 1 added before moving on to the next stitch.
- Cluster Stitches are often referred to as bobbles… but are really quite different. They are in fact a dc4tog US.
- Finally the Popcorn Stitch, which perhaps gives you the greatest texture and ‘bobble’ of them all.
