The triple/treble crochet is referred to as TR in US patterns. In European patterns, you will find this particular stitch referred to as the Double Treble (DTR).
This is another basic essential stitch for you to use while you are learning crochet. This stitch isn’t used as much as the rest of the basic stitches but is still a fundamental stitch that is sometimes needed.
In learning how to triple/treble crochet you first need to yarn over your hook twice before placing the first stitch into the foundation chain.
After you yarn over twice, place the hook into the 5th chain from your hook. Yarn over the hook again and pull up a loop through the chain.
When you have pulled up a loop, you will have 4 loops on your hook. Yarn over the hook again and draw the yarn through the first 2 loops on the hook. Repeat this two more times. This is how you triple/treble crochet.
